This spring is an ideal replacement if you have a floppy letterbox flap.
PLEASE NOTE this spring will only work with letterboxes as shown in the photos.

Whilst these are a robust part there is no accounting for a heavy handed postman or leaflet delivery person. Keep some spares in the shed.

Broken Letterbox flap
I managed to stumble across this site when looking for a replacement letterbox due to the flap hinges being broken. The fact the hinges are available only from this site was drastically cheaper than a new box. However I ordered the hex end when I had the square end. They don’t appear to have a square end. But I managed to make it fit. Letterbox now repaired and works fine. Thanks

UPVC Letterbox Hinge Pin Flap Spring
I luckily found these hinges whilst looking for a new replacement letterbox. They are slightly thinner than the old hinges but a couple small pieces of tape wrapped round the hinge soon resolved this. Excellent buy and saved me having to purchasing a new letterbox.

replacement hinges for UPVC letterbox
I bought these as a replacement for one that had broken which saved me from buying a complete new letterbox flap. Great item that did the job.

UPVC Letterbox Hinge
I had intended to replace my letterbox before I discovered these. No other supplier seemed to stock them and I had become resigned to the fact that I would have to scrap an otherwise perfectly functional letterbox. My only criticism is that for what they are, the price seems rather steep but then that is down to the limited number of suppliers. Fitting was very straightforward using a small adjustable spanner to pre-tension the torsion spring before inserting the hex head into the letterbox.
