UPVC Letterbox Hinge Pin Flap Spring - Hex Ended

I,ve not been able too fit these yet as they are needed at my daughters where i cannot go because of the virus, but they are exactly the same so should be ok

We haven't had a letterbox cover on our door for 2 years as I was advised it wasn't possible to fix. Once I found out what was needed, a quick google found the exact thing at handlesandhinges.co.uk. The quality was much better than the original hinges that broke previously. I wish I'd tried to find these sooner.

This item can be inserted using small pliers or socket to apply torsion so its release closes the flap BEFORE finally inserting. Very good

The item received was exactly what I ordered, however, as our letter box has square ended springs and you did not have this product available? I was able to modify what I purchased to fit by squaring off the hex end and thinning down the locking tab on the opposite end. Achieved the objective, many thanks for an excellent service. Bill

The hex end is too small. It will rotate even when pushed into the recess. So I ordered the product with the hook end, arrived today. However, the 'paddle' which is supposed to prevent rotation inside the letterbox flap is not wide enough. Consequently, this product also can rotate in the flap, which means you cannot create a spring force to close the flap. My next step is to buy a replacement letterbox complete - this is getting expensive, not to say frustrating.

Perfect spring pins! My letterbox is like new! The pins are super-easy to mount with pliers. Delivery is fast! I recommend it!
