Description
This multipoint gear box has been used on numerous door locking systems over many years and can be found on some of the major brand doors like B & Q etc.
The gearbox has a hookboltand a latch and the backset is 35mm. The same gearbox can be used on the Saracen, Laird and Surelock systems.
The latch is easily turned around to suit both left or right handed doors using a pozi drive screw driver.
A free starbit is included to help the job along.

Simple steps to help you choose the right size backset for your Gearbox
The Backset size is A in the diagram
Measure from the the front of the main faceplate (A in the diagram) to the middle of the spindle hole. This measurement is taken when the gearbox is attached to the main front face plate.
Measurement B is the PZ Centre.

The most common bit used to remove a gear box is a torx t20 although in some instances a square drive can be used which can normally found in most drill bit sets.
A Dual spindle has 2 spindles at different heights. This means that the levers / moving parts of the door handle will be at different levels on the inside and outside. A Split spindle is made of 2 parts that meet inside the gearbox. The levers / moving parts of the door handle will be at the same level. A Single spindle is one long part which goes right through the door. The levers / moving parts of the door handle will be at the same level. To distinguish between a split and single spindle you will need to remove them from the door and look.
No, as you do not necessarily need to change the barrel when changing the gearbox so the gearbox is sold on its own own. If you need a new cylinder, please click here.

The gearbox was identical the same as my old one it was so easy to replace with no issues charge with 20 min. Would recommend this supplier to other buys.

Replacement Door Lock
Lock unit gearbox failed after 10 years and didn't think I could get a replacement. Found this part from a company I had used before and after checking if the size was the same, it was, I ordered it. Arrived within a couple of days and installed within 30 minutes. Works perfect and in fact is better than the original.

The firm who supplied this door wanted £175 to replace this lock !! Problem solved for just over £30 and fast delivery too from H&H . Simple job takes less than 30 mins to do. Don't bother looking elsewhere and wasting time. H&H have the lot. Highly recommended.
