All handles on this page are cockspur handles.This means that the handle locks onto a wedge on the frame to make the window secure. They are usually fixed by self tapping screws but not unknow to fitted using Rivets.
Cockspur window handles.
Cockspur window handles tend to be found on the older type of UPVC windows. The cockspur window handle locks by way of a part of the handle catching onto striker plates or wedges. These wedgesstick on to the window frame by super glue and also clip into holes. The cockspur handle is available in different stack heights and this must be measured carefully when ordering(measuring guide). Cockspur handles are fitted by using self tapping window screwsinstead of bolts like espag window handles. You will also find cockspur handles on some aluminium windows, these usually have a stack height of 9mm but the availability of different coulours is limited due to demand not being as high.
