Vitawin Shootbolt Window Gearbox Mechanism

This Vitawin shootbolt gearbox mechanism is an easy simple to replace gearbox for any of the Vitawin gear box series.

Available in 2 back set sizes of either 20mm or 22mm.

Gearbox only.

Information from the manufacturer

On a Vita shootbolt mechanism when you turn the handle, at the same time two shootbolts simultaneously shoot in opposite directions into security strikers at both ends of the sash, securing the window vent.

A total no-nonsense security locking mechanism that stands out from the crowd for many good reasons; it’s simplistic, strong, durable well designed shootbolt drive mechanism assembly, incorporating the gearbox and extension bars in one sealed unit; the ideal designed lengths to suit all window vent applications, that secure into high security shootbolt corner drives at each end of the sash and the one piece high security corner strikers.

Espag Lock Backset Measuring Guide

To Measure the backset on your window lock you need to measure from the middle of the spindle hole to the front of the face plate. Take a look at the picture below and the red arrows show you where to measure.

The holes that the Bolts go through are a set distance and are the same on ALL window locks (43mm).

Easy to fit replaceent window Espag locks.

Having bought one 18 months ago I knew what to expect in the actual product along with the previously and current excellent service. To fit, requires removal of the glass retaining strip then drill hopefully one hole very close to the bottom of the internal wall to then lever up the broken locking bar at the same time shaking the window opener slightly-it levered up,the window opened and 10 minutes later it was fitted and working OK.A very cheap way to repair against call out charges.
