Description
MACO offset mushroom bolt espagnolettes for outward opening double glazing windows incorporate all the benefits of safety and security expected of modern window technology in today´s environment.
Available with 20mm or 25mm backset (Click here if you are unsure how to measure the backset)
The width of the faceplate is 16mm
These are described by industry standard lengths, but the actual length may differ slightly. see diagram below for specific measurements.
- 310mm 20 or 25mm backset, window lock / mechanism (Actual length 290mm)
- 400mm 20 or 25mm backset, window lock / mechanism (Actual length 380mm)
- 600mm 20 or 25mm backset, window lock / mechanism (Actual length 580mm)

Espag Lock Backset Measuring Guide
SIMPLE STEPS TO HELP YOU CHOOSE THE CORRECT FOR YOUR WINDOW LOCK
To Measure the backset on your window lock you need to measure from the middle of the spindle hole to the front of the face plate. Take a look at the picture below and the red arrows show you where to measure.
The holes that the Bolts go through are a set distance and are the same on ALL window locks (43mm).

Excellent replacement locking mechanism
I liked the sturdy construction and sliding mushroom fittings. Had to trim off some of the upvc from the groove which the bar was going to be located. Easy enough with a Stanley knife, the original was a couple of centimeters narrower. Be prepared to take the window out if you are replacing the espag on an upstairs window. All in all the Maca replacement window locking mechanism is excellent.

Good replacement mechanism
Doesn't appear to be of same quality as original Mila mechanism which lasted over twelve years but a perfect fit and easy enough fitted, only had to re-locate the two keeps.

Replacement Window lock
The Product is 3 star, the service was 5 star. I ordered it one day and it arrived the next. With the window been about 20 yrs old I didn't expect to get the right one but it was identical to the one I removed. I fitted it in minutes, a lot cheaper then replacing the window as I was advised by a local window company. Thank you

Great product!
Needed to replace 2 unidentified upvc window lock mechanisms and these did the job really well. Simple to fit with only minor relocation of existing fittings.

Works well
Had a few dodgy window locks, so ordered this one first, as a test, as it is the smallest one i needed. Great product, easy to fit and works really well. My wife is happy as the bedroom window now closes properly and no more drafts. I have since ordered other sizes, and they work equally as well

Window Repair
The offset window locking mechanism supplied was satisfactory, but considerable DIY skills are required to modify the window to take the mechanism as it was not original equipment.
