MACO shootbolt espagnolettes have been vigorously tested for security and performance above the requirements of industry standards. For performance they have been endurance tested to 40,000 operations and salt spray tested in accordance with BS EN 1670, silver look class 4 and tricoat class 5.

SIMPLE STEPS TO HELP YOU CHOOSE THE CORRECT FOR YOUR WINDOW LOCK
To Measure the backset on your window lock you need to measure from the middle of the spindle hole to the front of the face plate. Take a look at the picture below and the red arrows show you where to measure.
The holes that the Bolts go through are a set distance and are the same on ALL window locks (43mm).

MACO MK1 – DRIVE GEAR FOR SHOOTBOLT SYSTEM
Bought as a compatible replacement for existing discontinued drive gear that had disintegrated. Relatively straight forward to fit and only had to slightly shorten the existing shoot bolts by about 3mm each at the gear end.

MACO MK1 - better than the original
I bought this to replace a broken gearbox (GU 20mm) on a UPVC window. The unit is slightly longer than the GU, so the locking rods had to be trimmed by 2 or 3mm each, but otherwise the installation was easy. Window operation is definitely smoother than before - much less effort to turn the handle.

Excellent product as substitute for broken original GU item. Easy to fit.

Replacement window lock gearbox.
Got an equivalent replacement for a broken and now obsolete window lock mechanism. Not fitted one of these before but now works beautifully. As it was an equivalent and not the exact original one, I had to trim the shootbolts by a few mm, but this was easily done with a dremel. Thanks again Handles & Hinges. Will be using you again.
