Royal Mail Extra Charge Scam
We have been made aware of a text scam going around where customer receive a text which appears to be from Royal Mail asking for extra payment for postage. This is a scam, do not pay any extra postage.
Handle and Hinges use Royal Mail Business Mail so there should never be any extra postage charge to pay on our goods.
Royal Mail would never text you regarding extra payment no matter who you have ordered from, if there was insufficient postage on an item you would receive a grey coloured card through your door asking you to contact them directly. Royal Mail would only text you in order to give tracking updates on a delivery if you had provided your phone number and requested updates via SMS on trackable products.
