Description
Avocet / WMS-2 hook, 2 roller multipoint door locking mechanism.
This Avocet /WMS two roller two hook mechanism was used on many doors manufactured by Wickes.
The old lock may not have any markings on which in itself makes it stand out as a Avocet system.
You may find that your original lock has a small Sash lifting arm on it. This does not come with this lock but you can reuse your old one.
This lock has 45mm backset.
Simple steps to help you choose the right size backset for your Gearbox
The Backset size is A in the diagram
Measure from the the front of the main faceplate (A in the diagram) to the middle of the spindle hole. This measurement is taken when the gearbox is attached to the main front face plate.
Measurement B is the PZ Centre.
