Returns & Refund Policy

RETURNS POLICY:

We try to give as much information as possible about our products on our site and encourage customers to contact us if they are unsure about the product they are buying. Please note that some items are cut to the customer's requirements, such as gaskets, and therefore cannot be returned. If you are unsure if it is the correct product then contact us for assistance.

Returns Window: 30 days

Timeframe for unwanted goods:

We offer you 10 calendar days to cancel any item from the day after you receive your order. You must then return the goods within 30 days of the cancellation.

Reasons for return process:

We will accept returns if the product is defective, not as described, not suitable, or just unwanted.

Damaged goods:

If you have received a damaged or incorrect item then contact us within 48 hours of receipt. We may ask you to provide a photograph by email which will speed up the process and get parts replaced.

In order to return an order, please contact us first by emailing office@handlesandhinges.co.uk or calling 01204 652211. We may be able to resolve the problem without incurring unnecessary postage and make the process easier for everyone.

Returns and exchanges:

You must take care to ensure that the goods are in a good condition and properly packaged. We cannot be responsible for items that are lost on return. If the product is found damaged or used beyond what it takes for us to reasonably inspect it, then we may reject a refund.

If you are returning an item for a refund we will refund you minus our original delivery cost and will not reimburse your return postage.

If the return is due to our error or a faulty item, we will refund your return postage and send replacements free of charge.

We understand you may need to open a packet to try a product — that’s okay. Just try not to go full Stanley Knife Ninja on it.

We won’t accept returns where the product’s been thrown in the back of a van for a week with a box of tools on top and looks like a garage clearance. We wouldn’t send it to you like that — we expect the same courtesy.

Returns Process:

We aim to process returns within 3 working days of receiving them. Refunds typically appear within 24–48 hours after being processed (depending on your card issuer or payment provider). All items are inspected — if the product is not in resellable condition, we reserve the right to refuse a refund.

Exceptions:
Gaskets which are Cut To Size cannot be returned. If unsure, please contact us before ordering.
