Multipoint UPVC Door Lock Measuring Guides

  • To help us identify the locking mechanism you need for your door please enter your details below and submit them to our UPVC Engineer.

  • Look at the drawing below  and tell us what your mechanism has in the centre part.

  • Look at the drawing below and measure your handles centres (known as PZ). Input size in the

drop down box below. Also take a close look at your locking strip and see if there are any

    identifying stamps or marks.

What is measurement A below on your handles?*

  • Look at the diagram below and tell us which of these you have on your door. You may

have just rollers, hooks and rollers, pins and rollers or any other combination  so make

sure you tell us all the information you can.

  • What parts move on your lock when you pull the handle up. These are known as "locking points"

  • Nearly finished all we need some sizes off you. All locks are made different and there are a

lot to choose from so the sizes we need are quite critical if you are to get the right one.

A bit like picking clothes etc.

  • The final measurement is the backset. This is the distance from the front of the face plate to the centre of the cylinder. See the drawing below.
