Multipoint Locks

Click here if you want to find your UPVC Door lock by brand / manufacturer.

There are many UPVC door locks available & there are various terminologies. To the the trade they are known as either "Lock Mechs" or "Door espags". The correct name for a UPVC door lock is "Multipoint". This refers to the locking strip that runs the entire length of the door  having mulitple locking points that lock into your double glazing door frame.

Multipoint locks are used on Wooden / timber doors as well as UPVC. Also on the market there is a door called a Composite door. This is a door that actually looks wooden but is made using GRP or Steel faced insulated panel.

When choosing a UPVC door lock to replace the one you have existing it is paramount that you messure carefully. This saves a lot of frustration and time. Alternatively you could use one of our UNIVERSAL Door locks designed by YALE to fit most doors, is "secure by design" accredited and comes complete with keeps  and receivers. Click here for the Yale Universal Doormaster High security door lock.
