Egress / fire escape window hinges incorporate all the features of the standard handed friction stays but with one major benefit incorporated into the design - the stay design allows the moving sash to open to 90 degrees assisting exit out of the open window sash in the event/ need to evacuate the area such as fire.
The window and vent size must be made to fire regulation size to comply. The egress stay is available in 12” and 16” side hung sizes and are the standard 18mm wide.
